07:49 AM ET 12.29 | Jim Schwartz is typically loath to comment on rumors and stories citing anonymous sources. But the report on SI.com Thursday that "tension" has built up between Schwartz and general manager Martin Mayhew was, in his mind, too preposterous to let quietly slide by. "It couldn't be further from the truth," he said, repeating it three times for emphasis. "I don't like to comment on rumors, particularly from people not in our building that don't see us every day, but that couldn't be further from the truth. "We are all in this together and we are all very determined to get us back on the right track."

Ford didn't take no bailout and the owner don't take no....yes I think he's gone too.

Why would there be any tension? Great head coach, great GM and a great owner. Just great, why break up that team?

I like Schwartz, but the team has underperformed this year. It would be interesting to see Norv Turner brought in as OC, and some new blood on the defensive side of the ball.

Maybe San Fran will take him on as an assistant?

They need to address the O-line and D-Sec and they need to let the player's know that they aren't going to put up with the players making headlines in the off-season on the Police blotter and flag the character risks they don't need anymore Titus Young's (1st round talent pre-school maturity)or Aaron Berry's(6th round talent pre-school maturity)
