05:56 PM ET 12.30 | A flurry of NFL head coaches will be fired in the coming days. The answer for the teams that pull the trigger on their head coach to the question, "Who is looking for a new coach?" will be, "We Are." Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban and Chip Kelly from Oregon will not be the only college coaches that are on the short lists for open jobs. Another name to watch will be Penn State Nitany Lions head coach Bill O'Brien. In fact, it is being reported that O'Brien "may be on more short lists" than Kelly.

Man was awful close to a 10 win season when nobody thought he'd win three.

Bill O'Brien signed a five-year contract with no out clause. His contract states that if he wants to terminate employment for any reason before his five-year contract is over, he has to pay back his base salary at the time multiplied by the number of years left.
So yeah, he COULD leave PSU for the NFL, but he probably won't.
This is a non-story.

He was also told that the Sandusky issue was not an NCAA violation and that there would be no penalties....
