Problem is, there's no Andrew Luck or RGIII this year. The Chiefs will pick a defensive player or a lineman, but they'll still be without a QB...and in the NFL, if you don't have a QB, you don't have ****.

I agree one hundred percent. There are no truly great quarterback prospects in the draft this year, which is what the Chiefs desperately need.

There are conflicting reports out there. If he stays there will be a riot in KC.

Agree. I would approach the 49ers about Smith in trade for a 2nd round pick.

The Chiefs are probably stuck with whomever they can get from the first team that bothers to pick up the phone on a trade proposal. It's hard to imagine anybody voluntarily going to that team when coaching is unknown and there is no receiving corps to speak of.

The can always get into the bidding war over Alex Smith- he'd be great for the AFC West, he could make the Chiefs a playoff team like they were meant to be this year. He has a 104 QB rating, completes 70% of his passes with 8 yards per completion.

I think they give him up for a fourth rounder. He can be gotten much more cheaply than a round two pick.
