Eagles quit on Reid

08:04 AM ET 12.31 | If it was Andy Reid's final ride to a game with the Eagles, it made for a nice scene -- his wife and kids riding to MetLife Stadium on the team bus. But the pleasantness of that image quickly dissipated once the game began and the starkness of why Reid's likely firing is needed unfolded in what was an ugly, effortless performance by his team. This was a humiliating and embarrassing end to the Philadelphia career of a man who deserved better. ... [In] recent months and years we saw maybe the biggest of his problems. He sometimes cannot inspire players. That the Eagles, knowing this was likely Reid's final game, were so unceremoniously gutless and flat is a huge indictment of them and Reid. Philadelphia's players didn't even try in a moment that meant so much.

but 100% true...Andy Reid spent the last 14 years choosing a football team over his own family when his sons were in OBVIOUS need of his attention. And the end result is one son dead, another is still an addict, and Andy was still spending all of his time on football....

wrong...as usual....it's completly necessary...SOMEONE should have said it to Reid a decade ago...or even a year ago before his son killed himself...

your disagreement with reality says so much about you as well...even if it's harsh, it's still REALITY...he was an absentee father. His kids grew up as an afterthought, coming in a distant 2nd place to daddy's football team. Now, I understand the concept of a father needing to work to support his family, but when a man has already pocketed enough to live comfortably for several lifetimes and STILL chooses to ignore his children it's unacceptable...

You all know he brought his kids to training camp so SOMEONE ELSE could try to keep an eye on them. He figured that if they were close enough, he didn't need to watch them...this probably made things worse as his sons were there to watch daddy ignore them in favor of football...
