Can Tim Federowicz change Colletti's ways?

08:21 AM ET 12.31 | On the upside, Tim Federowicz did bat .333 in 2012 -- going 1-for-3. [He's tentatively] scheduled to serve as the 2013 backup to catcher to A.J. Ellis. The take: I say tentatively, because General Manager Ned Colletti has long preferred a veteran catcher -- someone closer to the end of this career than the beginning -- to serve as the backup. Last year that was Matt Treanor, who was fine behind the plate but hit just .175. The Dodgers figure Federowicz can do better than that, and they're fine with him defensively. ... Everyone seems OK with Fedex as next year's backup (Treanor ended up with 117 plate appearances), though don't be too surprised if before now and the start of spring training Colletti becomes enamored with some 36-year-old backup catcher.

QUOTE(#2):

Dodgers have a good lineup on paper, but you know how that usually works out.Who will play 3B? Or SS? 2B is a hole. The bullpen is unsettled. No depth really on the roster.Big moves to finish second or third.

As a lifelong Dodger fan . Agreed ... With that type of payroll the Dodgers should not have as many holes as we do ... Ned is just throwing money at all angles hopefully a few stick . I cant even imagine what type of team the Dodgers would have If they had a guy Like Friedman or Beane making calls with unlimited financial resources.
