08:22 AM ET 12.31 | Conventional, he was not, and Brian Bosworth has an out-of-the-box idea for his alma mater in the Cotton Bowl. Play man-to-man defense. Not man-to-man pass coverage. Man-to-man defense. Put a defender on Johnny Football. Stick to Texas A&M's Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback, Thabo Sefolosha style. "This kid is unpredictable," Bosworth said. "You can't coach fundamental, solid defense versus unpredictability. If you don't know what he's going to do, all you can do is put your best athlete on him and say, 'Go compete.'" ... [The Brothers Stoops are] offering no clues on a Cotton Bowl strategy, but Bob Stoops admits that Manziel's scrambling ability can create desperate times. And you know what desperate times call for.

Sounds like a basketball coach using a box and one.

It is exactly like that. Play zone so that every defender in pass coverage has their eyes on the QB and one guy is assigned to make sure the QB does not take off.

They better cover those receivers too. He throws it pretty well now. Much better than he did coming out of HS.

Boom's halftime adjustment at TAMU to get the D-line to stay in their rushing lanes made a huge difference in shutting down his escape routes. Keep your D-line disciplined to do their job and disguise your blitzers well, and you can pressure the guy.

Boz was a very smart business man, he conned the Seahawks and was a very bad "B" movie actor, but he made a <hit load of money!!! I still remember Bo Jackson running over him on his way to a TD!!!

But OT is so old and senile he's lost all short term memory so all that is left is legendary.
