08:29 AM ET 12.31 | Though Team Canada's record through three games at the IIHF World Junior Championship was spotless, Steve Spott wanted more scoring from his forwards against Russia. With that in mind, the Canada coach has made a significant lineup move for Canada's New Year's Eve match against their biggest hockey rivals. Jonathan Drouin, who subtly has been one of Canada's best forwards at the 2013 World Junior Championship, has been moved up to the top line with centre Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and winger Mark Scheifele. "We want to look at creating some more depth scoring," Spott said on Monday morning. "I think right now Jonathan has proven to us he is capable of playing with players like Ryan and Mark."

the article doesn't mention goalies at all, yet there is Subban? Why?

Because the interns think Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Mark Scheifele, and Jonathan Drouin sounds suspiciously like a threesome.
Canuck eh?

The Canada vs USA , and Canada vs Russia games were awesome ! This big ice surface is growing on me. After a couple hard fought tight losses the Americans certainly took out their frustrations this morning !

I also like the bigger ice, always thought the old Boston ice was too small. Might be fun to see guys like Helm wind it up.

I like it as well. I like the skating aspect of the game, and you can still hit...

OOF! that one was close to the mark...
Oh well, They still make boats and from what I hear you can see Russia from some dumb wench's house in Alaska, you could charter a boat from her and get there in style; albeit 6 months later...

Maybe that's why Bryzgalov wants out.

Ugh Canada just played so dirty. They only beat Russia because they're dirty. They didn't dominate at all.
Russia best.

This made me laugh. Yesterday I wanted to watch a replay of the Camara hit on the Slovak on YoutTube and that was pretty much the comment of everyone on the other side of the Atlantic.

Oh my goodness, what a joy that game was to watch...the russkies looked completely lost and helpless. They were extremely lucky they only lost 4-1. Spott FINALLY made the adjustments on the PP and with the lines + the players finally showed some discipline. I still think Ouellet needs first PP time, but other than that, it was obvious that Canada game planned their entire tournament around the Russians.

That fricken Yakapov and his speed scared me a few times though , particularly short handed. Subban could not be blamed for that Canada gift pass to Russia goal.

He's not the only Oilers prospect to ever have speed. Funny thing is, I can't remember any of them. Will Yakupov be another speed demon in Edmonton with no hands?

I was more impressed with Daniil Zharkov's showing than Yakupov's. That guy is bigger, dangerous and isn't afraid of going behind the net or into the corners and has a slick way of sneaking up on you in front of the net too.
