Could the 2013 Buccaneers be the 2011 Lions?

10:23 AM ET 12.31 | The Falcons rested on their number 1 seed in the NFC and the Buccaneers defense had an excellent display to end the season on a positive note. The Falcons running game only had a couple of decent gains, and the passing game led by Matt Ryan was surprisingly average against an inspired Buccaneers defense. Mark Barron broke up a key pass in the fourth quarter to end the Falcons' chances, and the Buccaneers held on for a 22-17 win. But while the Buccaneers were only slightly below average this season, they no doubt possess the talent to be a contender next season if they can mature over the offseason. We saw the 2010 Lions consistently fall a step short and follow it up the next season with a playoff berth. Are the 2013 Tampa Bay Buccaneers destined to turn it around in similar fashion?

We saw the 2010 Lions consistently fall a step short....Also in 2012 so TB might want to follow in someone else' footsteps. Fair to say if the Lions had any killer instinct (irony) they might have won a few more of those 11 games where they needed a FG or TD to tie or win the game.
