11:04 AM ET 12.31 | For months now, ESPN analyst Jon Gruden has said he has got absolutely no intention of leaving his comfy, multi-milion dollar gig at the four letter network to return to the NFL. For months now, we've all been calling his bluff and it appears that the people have been right all long, as Mike Freeman from CBSSports.com is reporting that Gruden is willing to interview for the various head coaching jobs that are both now and soon to be available. There was a lot of talk about Gruden leaving ESPN to take the Tennessee Volunteers job last month, but those talks eventually went nowhere. But the reason Gruden didn't take the Vols job, or at least the logic behind it, is that he was holding out for Black Monday and a potential return to the NFL. All signs point to this: if the right job opens up for Gruden, he's going to jump at it in half a minute. But what else is new?

Yeah right , Give up a dream job of talking football for a couple of hours while banking a nice check , or end up in an organization that he has to build from the bottom up and face constant failure. My guess is his ego will keep his Butt on MNF .

I'm not so sure I want Gruden roaming the Bears sideline in any capacity that doesn't involve ESPN.

He'd take an NFL job if the GM let him keep seven or eight QBs on the roster.

It would be awesome if I didn't have to listen to him heap praise on every player he "color" analyzes.... He bored me on TV. Anywhere but on my TV next year is good with me.

Gruden would need Tony Dungy to precede his next coaching gig if he is to have any hope of being successful. Hopefully he is sharing any residuals resulting from his super bowl win with Tampa Bay with Dungy who put the team together.
