12:54 PM ET 12.31 | After his career was nearly taken away, it appears Eddie Yagin may return to action faster than he expected. The UFC featherweight was training Dennis Siver for a bout scheduled for UFC on FOX 5 when he fell ill and was diagnosed with a subdural hematoma. Doctors suggested Yagin take six months to properly heal, but according to the fighter, since returning home to Hawaii he's felt better than ever. "As soon as I landed, it's like my headaches were gone and everything started healing faster for me," said Yagin. Follow-up training hasn't resulted in any migraines. Yagin's timetable is the same, but a career once on the brink, it appears the chance of having a successful career in the UFC is still there.
