01:17 PM ET 12.31 | Tatsuya Kawajiri was successful at Dream 18 on New Year's Eve in Saitama, Japan. He defeated UFC veteran Michihiro Omigawa over the course of three rounds. The featherweight bout served as the main event of the MMA portion of the GLORY-DREAM dual show. Kawajiri continues to be undefeated since moving to featherweight in 2011. "I fought to attack his faults. Striking, going for the takedown and then attempting the arm-triangle," said Kawajiri. "I almost got it, but I didn't want to get overconfident. I tried to build the fight carefully. I think I showed I'm different from other Japanese fighters."
