08:04 AM ET 01.01 | The Titans are keeping coach Mike Munchak, but Bud Adams, who also announced senior executive vice president Mike Reinfeldt's firing, isn't making many promises beyond Munchak. The Titans have not been to the playoffs since 2008 and have not won a playoff game since 2003. Adams said his expectation is that the Titans will be in the playoffs next season. ... "I'll be 90 years old on Thursday, so I want to start winning more games. I'm hoping next year will be a Super Bowl team. But we'll have to wait and see on that. I picked Munchak to be the head coach, and I'm hoping he can take us there." Asked if there would be changes on the coaching staff, Adams said: "That's up to him (Munchak) but I think we'll have some changes."

Talk about pressure...Adams to Munchak. "Look son, I turn 90 on Thursday and the only thing missing from my bucket list is a Super Bowl ring. I don't know how many years I've got left so get it done next year, OK son?" Yikes!

hey,.....he was a yard shy 13/14-yrs. ago..........what the hell !?

I'm thinking that at 90 he's not wanting to wait another 13 years for another shot

I think that the Titans should cut ties with their Houston Oilers past, and treat the Titans as though they are an expansion team. Fire Munchak, and stop bringing Warren Moon and Earl Campbell to Nashville for public appearances, and stop referring to Warren Moon as the club's "all-time leader" in passing yards.

They never played in Nashville, and I'm sure that the people of Tennessee don't have any special feelings for them the way that the people of Houston, Texas do. By constantly reminding people that your team used to be the Houston Oilers, you are not allowing the Titans to develop their own identity.

Interesting post. I wasn't aware they did that. Seems an odd way to do things. Guess they feel they haven't got enough history of their own yet.

Bud you and Jimmy Dickens are Nashville legends both are 90 years old or older in Jimmy's case, Jimmy has not had a hit record since back in the 80's and you are still looking for your first Super Bowl since you have owned the Oilers-Titans.

Take a hard look at Vince Young,... He can still play at a HIGH level,.... His NFL won/loss record right now is 31-19 as a starting quarterback... He has playoff experience ... He's a 2 time Pro-Bowler... He was voted 2006 NFL Rookie of the Year..... In 2010, Vince Young had a quarterback rating of 98.6 ..............................
The NFL is all about "WINS and LOSSES".... and Vince can WIN............ ANY quarterback in the NFL with that kind of record would easily be given, chance after chance to play on an N.F.L team ...... Vince Young has earned that right....... Give it to him....
Bring in Vince Young "NOW"... Evaluate him, if he's good enough sign him to a 1 or 2 year deal... Next year at the very least, you would have a good backup quarterback...

then again if he hadn't forced Fisher to take the mentioned above VY and constantly meddled in personnel issues maybe they'd be in a better place

You are an idiot. Really. A moron. Did your parents drop you on your head a lot as a child? I am more likely to be the QB next year in Nashville than Vince Young.

He's Vince's agent...
