Holmgren mulling a return?

03:08 PM ET 01.01 | With several NFL head coaching positions opening up this week, former Super Bowl-winning coach Mike Holmgren is willing to listen to offers from any interested teams. Holmgren, who left his team president position with the Browns last month, told Ed Werder of ESPN, "If anyone is interested, I'll listen." While he hasn't been coaching, Holmgren has been in the NFL for the past three years as a member of the Browns' front office. As president, he was the de facto owner of the Browns, representing the club at most league meetings and functions.

After being the team president in Cleveland for three years, I don't believe Holmgren would be content to just be the head coach with Jerrah making all the personnel / draft and administrative decisions. If Holmgren thinks Jerrah would hire him as the GM / HC, I have four words for him: Jimmie Johnson / Bill Parcells. Jerrah will ALWAYS demand top billing with the 'Boys and anyone with Holmgren's / Cowher's / Reid's experience could never be happy or successful in that environment. The fact that Holmgren has been successful doesn't make him a good fit. IMHO, it actually works against him.
