11:48 PM ET 01.01 | The Alabama Crimson Tide will open the 2015 college football season at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Tex., in the Cowboys Classic. Since 2009, the Cowboys Classic puts together non-conference opponents in clash to start the year. It will be Alabama's second year in the game. This season, the Crimson Tide thrashed the Michigan Wolverines, 41-14, to start their journey to the national title game. But who will be Alabama's opponent for 2015? Reports are indicating the Crimson Tide will face off against Wisconsin Badgers in the 2015 Cowboys Classic. A formal agreement has not yet been reached, but the two sides have reportedly agreed to meet in the game. If the Alabama/Wisconsin game does become official, it will only be the second time the two sides have matched up against each other on the gridiron. The first meeting between 'Bama and Wisconsin came all the way back in 1928. Alabama fell to the Badgers, 15-0.

Hope the new WISC staff is up to the job of keeping that program going strong. If so, this could be a pretty good game.

Why don't you tell us how bad Wisconsin is going to beat us, like you told us how bad Penn State was going to beat us that year....

I agree, but why are these games in Arlington???? Why not a "home and home" series??? Is it all about the money????

Oh man...I only hope Alvarez comes back for this one too. Most arrogant man I've ever seen in college football. If you think Arkansas came after Bielema, you have another think coming. Bielema contacted them. He wanted out. I don't know how he lasted there as long as he did. You want proof? Listen to Alvarez's press conference after Bielema left. Alvarez took total credit for everything that Bielema did there. Said it was him who left the program in such great shape and it was his recruits. What an ass.
Otherwise, you are so correct...this will definitely be big boy football and should be a helluva game.

Yes it's all about the money. And it seems the "big boys" from a certain conference rarely sign OOC teams to a true "home and home" series ... more like a "home only" series played on their turf.

Wonder who will be coaching @ Gump when this game is played?

Yeah, that's what I figured!!!! Oregon goes down to Arlington to play SEC teams, but most SEC teams don't come out West!!! Maybe in the future, I haven't seen the future schedules.

Whose home turf would this be? Alabama is about 600 miles from Dallas. Also, this game is good for both teams. It helps recruiting in Texas to be seen in Texas. Both teams want to increase their profile in Texas. Your hatred of the SEC is making you sound stupid.

Alvarez should take all the credit, it wasn't Bert's doing - that's why all his coaches left last year, Beilema's the dick

Not sure which "big boys" you are referring to in your comment. Alabama just had a home and home with Penn State. They have another home and home scheduled with MSUn (Go Green, right Froggie?). Wisky has had a very easy OOC schedule recently. This is a big step up for them, as far as scheduling goes.

LOL, yeah, I have that same taste in my mouth, when I read articles like this. Why are all these "Big" games played in Arlington??? It has to be all about the money!!!!

Well, there are also other teams in the SEC that people consider "big boys", besides Bama. When was the last time that Bama play a home and home against a good team? I wouldn't consider Penn State a real good team. Has Florida (we all know the answer to this question), play a good home and home (out of state) in the last 20 years??? How about Georgia, have they came out West lately. IMO, LSU is the only one that has the Gonads to schedule a real good OOC home and home series!!! The SEC might want to take lessons from teams like Boise State, Washington and Oregon and schedule some good OOC home and home series.

CFB needs to have a Jerry Jones type of guy be in the mid-west. Then, maybe some of these games will be played not in their backyards. These games in TX are about half the travel distance for the SEC to B1G, and the change in temps, etc are about 4 times greater for B1G to SEC.
