07:46 PM ET 01.02 | The Washington Wizards are floundering without John Wall, but how much will his return actually lift the team? Stan Van Gundy doesn't think he'll do as much as the Wizards hope. In a radio interview, the former Orlando Magic coach declared that he doesn't think Wall is the kind of player that you can build a team around. "I don't know if it's a trade, a free-agent thing, but I do know this: you build a team around certain people, and then you find complementary parts. There's been no one to even build around there. There's certainly nobody on that roster now you can build around. I think maybe they thought it was gonna be John Wall ???- maybe they still think it is. I think there's a lot of people in the league ??? I'd certainly be one that would share this opinion ??? I don't think John Wall's good enough to be the guy that you build around. I think he's got great speed and quickness, but point guard is a decision-making position. That's what makes you great as a point guard, is your decision-making. I haven't seen any indication that John Wall is a great decision-maker."

How does he know this? Has he coached Wall before? Has he watched practices, scrimmages? Someone give this blowhard a job so he can stop commenting on players around the league..

I'm guessing you think he's wrong then, or do you just not like hearing from the man behind the stache?
I would say he's pretty spot on.
It's tough for me to think you can build around a PG, unless we're talking about prime Steve Nash or DRose. Wall is neither of those players; so to have a successful organization, I think Wall has to be your #2.

Wall is no Kyrie Irving that is for sure....
one is from Duke...a super-smart, super motivated PG....
the other is from Kentucky....not the brightest crayon in the box....thats not what you want out of your PG
