Penn State leads voting for NCAA Football 14 cover

04:54 AM ET 01.03 | The folks over at EA are holding a vote, much like they did with Madden 13, to see who should be on the cover of this year's edition of NCAA Football '14. As it stands currently, Kentucky is rolling in at No. 2 with an astounding 11,561 votes, which is almost more than 10,000 more votes than Alabama, Ga., or any other SEC school. But while Kentucky is outdoing some of the titans of college football, they themselves are being outdone by perhaps the most polarizing program in the country. Penn State is leading all NCAA Football 14 voting with a current total of 12,672 votes. The next question is, if Penn State wins the voting, will EA put out a game that has the Nittany Lions on it? Is the Jerry Sandusky scandal still too relevant in the mind of the public, or has enough time passed that we can start to move on from it?

Go ahead. Put PSU on the cover. One thing, please report the reactions of consumers in the business and lifestyle media space.

LOL, so we are suppose to feel sorry for Penn State and be happy that, "The folks over at EA are holding a vote, to see who to put on the cover of this year's Madden 13, edition of NCAA Football"???

players and students contributed to the atmosphere that put sports ahead of morality...the entire population is brainwashed. However, neither the students nor players are being punished. They had the opportunity to transfer with no penalty. Any negative impact on them is collateral damage caused by a necessary process to put an end to the greater problem at the institution. We don't give murderers a free pass when they have kids just so those kids don't grow up without a daddy...daddy goes to prison, and his kids have to suffer some consequences as a result. You either agree or you're a clueless **** who just doesn't get it...

No matter what you think about the scandal, it can't be denied that PSU did a great job on the field. I think O'Brien stays at PSU, too.

Spot on. Lawsuit was finally filed which will result in an undoing of a highly unjust, unfounded and illegal assessment of fines and penalties on PSU. Criminal matters belong to the state of Pennsylvania. Athletic matters and matters involving infractions of NCAA rules belong to the NCAA.
Anyone citing the Freeh Report needs to rethink what they are citing.

Name calling is really unnecessary. Bushisright is RIGHT IMO. The NCAA does not have jurisdictional matters in criminal cases. Comparing the student body and student-athletes to the children of a felon is a seriously misplaced analogy. Using your logic, we should then punish the cousins, classmates and friends of a child whose father was convicted of murder.
BTW, the children of the AD, and the past President of PSU (who are under indictment and will go to prison) will be fatherless just as you mentioned. It is unfortunate "collateral damage" as you suggest and it is going to happen in this matter.
