Kelly's last day at Oregon?

08:20 AM ET 01.03 | In coming years, the NCAA may complicate feelings Ducks football fans have for Chip Kelly, who takes his team to a fourth straight BCS game Thursday. I suspect they'll beat Kansas State in a blowout, and maybe dump Gatorade on Kelly afterward in what feels like his final game (and maybe day) as Oregon's coach. But while we're pinning all that success on Kelly, and lauding him for his victories, let's not forget that he's the guy who warped the NCAA rulebook trying to win a national title. ... [The] sobering reality of big-time college athletics isn't that Kelly is likely to ditch Oregon in the coming days, rather that Kelly is going to walk free, just like Pete Carroll did at USC, while the program is hit with an NCAA-penalty phase hangover he created.

Have they been under the microscope for suspected violations?

Kelly is going to the NFL probably as soon as next week.

Please, articles like this are plain stupid. In the author's world somehow public employees getting paid millions with teams that use fields that cost hundreds of millions is perfectly OK, but using a few thousand dollars of private money is pure evil. Yeah, right.

Not following you here Armpit. The article isn't talking about public or private funds.

No kidding! You have to worry about how smart the guy is when he breaks the rules and pays with a check!

He's not the only one.

sorry for the repeat... that spinny thing was running for over 30 minutes.

I must say that the tone of the thread topping blurb would turn litmus paper bright red.

I'm in Oregon. Avid Duck fan and alumni. There's a reason why the author of this article is nicknamed "Clownzano" here. He's a bottom feeder at The Oregonian. He's bitter toward Chip because he's been shut out of practices and interviews (his fault).

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh I see said the blind man...
Kelly is a New England guy (Manchester NH) so how bad could he be?

Unless Phil Knight has sprinkled holy water on all this NFL blah, blah blah I'm gonna just awit and see...

GO-Ducks!

I'm not sold that Kelly's schemes will work at the NFL level. I say he flops out after a few seasons and is back in college ball. He gave a clinic to NFL coaches this past off-season, and all I ever hear is that Bellichek picked up using one-word play calls from him. That's it. Makes me wonder how much of his schemes will translate.

Not that the paper is biased, but notice Oregon has PLAYED in BCS bowls. Article doesn't mention winning em. This very same paper said Oregon would blow out Auburn. How'd that work out?
