He refused to address two hot topics: Who will be the Cowboys' play-caller and the status of defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. "I'm going to spend a lot of time visiting with people outside of the organization ... that will help us evaluate how to do the things that I know what our fans want to do, and that's not be sitting here at .500," Jones said. "There are a lot of teams that haven't been at .500, but nobody hasn't been at .500 and spent as much cash as I'm spending." ... [Jones] didn't mince words on shaking things up: "I can tell you change is necessary at 8-8. We're going to have changes."

JJ is indeed a major problem as the GM. But Romo really does stink it up when it's all on the line. Alex Smith at QB with Norv Turner as the OC? The Cowboys would be instantly much better.

He's not replacing the HC...

He's not replacing the DC...

He's not cutting Romo...

As Gosselin said this morning - just stop trying to fix the offensive line on the cheap by bringing in other team's rejects (as done this last offseason). This team won in the 90's with an home-grown (re: drafted) offensive line that kicked everyone's asses. This offensive line gets it's ass kicked and gets the starting QB & RB damn near killed every week.
