08:08 AM ET 01.03 | With a fourth consecutive loss on Wednesday, Boston slipped three games below .500 for the first time in nearly a calendar year, though Paul Pierce remained optimistic. [Said Pierce:] "The good thing about it is we're staying positive about this stretch. It's a tough stretch for us obviously and we know we are going to get through it. We sit in here and we talk about being positive, don't get our heads down. We understand we feel you can always get the next one. It's just like any confident person, when things don't go your way you feel the next thing is going to go your way." ... With their next three games scheduled against playoff-caliber competition (Indiana, Atlanta, New York), including the latter two on the road, it could easily get worse.

QUOTE(#2):

As I said the other day.....Problem with the Celts is their best players can't bring it for 82 games and the younger guys aren't good enough to carry the team.I will be interested to see if the Celts are sellers f their malaise continues into next month

If they can wiggle their way into the playoffs they will be tough to beat. I'm not saying they're championship squad but they can surprise any team. Nonetheless come end of season they definitely need to ship out Garnett and Pierce for some very high draft picks. Their championship window has closed for sure...

Should have kept Perkins instead of trading for a defective small forward.Ainge screwed up a good team with his trades.

I think Ainge thought Perkins was on the decline.. they got played big time.
