08:20 AM ET 01.03 | So much for conventional wisdom. As double-digit favorites, Florida entered the Sugar Bowl as the Goliath SEC program looking to put an exclamation point on a one-loss season. However Ex-Gator assistant coach Charlie Strong and sophomore quarterback Teddy Bridgewater had other ideas, leading Louisville to the upset victory in New Orleans, 33-23. ... [Bridgewater] finished the night 20-for-32 for 266 yards and a pair of touchdowns. His lone mistake came on an interception that was tipped at the line of scrimmage. But other than that, Bridgewater was surgical, showing why many are already mentioning his name as the early favorite to be the first quarterback drafted in the 2014 NFL Draft. As a true sophomore, he isn't eligible for this year's Draft.

tha 1st play from scrimmage for fla set tha tone for tha entire game...

Florida looked like they wanted to be somewhere else. Heads were not in the game.

One team came ready to play, and it wasn't the Gators.

Wh-wh-what happened? Did somebody get the license plate of the bus that hit us? And somebody please take away the gun we kept shooting ourselves in the foot with.

And congrats to the Cards for playing tremendously well.

For Gator nation they are fortunate that the final read as a 10 point victory. Could have/should have been 30+ victory.

What is the line now on the NC game? I am curious if this beatdown of the #2 SEC team has moved the betting line.

No, Aaron Murray is the #1 QB prospect.
Are you listening Jerry Jones?

Just what the Cowboys need. Another QB who can't win the big game.

Which is exactly what JJ deserves.

Bill Parcels wanted to draft a QB but JJ always overruled because he liked Quincy Carter. So ... Dallas was in position to draft Matt Schaub in '04 and Aaron Rogers '05 but Jerry overruled. What an idiot.

Watch him take Matt Barkley in the first round.

I would like that, but Jerry would probably take Geno Smith or some other "value" pick at the position.

It's always hard to see your team get wacked on the last game of the year. Remember all the great wins, and just say to yourself, " wait til next year, wait til next year ...."

SEC is taking a beating this year compared to other years...but they should still end up with a decent bowl record. But there have been a few very questionable QB performances for sure. Mettenberger flat lost the game for LSU. How the hell do you miss a 5 yard pass by 5 yards with the game on the line??? And Russell of Mississippi State...well...someone should check his bank account for large deposits. Man...that was pathetic. Driskill from Florida was pretty shaky as well. Still a couple more to go...

Florida definitely didn't look like this game was where they wanted. I told my brother-in-law that the Gators were going to lose because this game was meaningless for them. I am disappointed as a Gator fan that the team didn't come out and just be Florida.

Definitely not taking away from Louisville, they won that game fair and square and as stated above, the first pass set the tone for the remainder of the game and then the dumb on-side kick to open the 2nd half followed by a personal foul...GAME OVER!!! Defense did its part actually, but with the offense floundering badly the time on the field was getting to them and the great starting position on field was asking too much of any defense really.
