12:52 PM ET 01.03 | Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly is generating some interest from NFL teams, according to Bruce Feldman of CBS Sports, who reports Kelly is "rising" on the radar of some NFL teams. Kelly is finishing his third season as head coach of Notre Dame, with a 28-10 overall record. His Fighting Irish completed the school's first undefeated regular season since 1988, and play Alabama in the BCS National Championship Game Monday.

Exactly what I thought, although I'm not sure which one of them is more evil.

No surprise that the coach of a NC contender team is on the radar screen for NFL positions. Look at all the speculation about Saban in the past couple of years.
Would be very surprised if BK jumped to the NFL in the next few years. He's got a dynasty building at S. Bend, he's paid very well (and will get contract extensions and raises ahead), he has a young family who are settled in the community, and he can always go to the NFL in future years if he keeps winning.
Of course, if an owner shows up with the keys to Fr. Knox who knows?

Sunny San Diego is alot nicer then South Bend and the pay wouldn't be much different......but I don't think Kelly would make a good NFL coach.

Well it's about time, National championships at GVSTU, great college programs, this coach builds winners and it's never quirky football. Been blogging the Lions should make Kelly their man for a month now.

Haven't heard anyone calling him the King of college coaches except you.
He's on the radar because his team is playing for the NC, nothing unusual about that.
You sound like another one of those wonderfully articulate ND Haters!

If Kelly beats Alabama, he will never have to look for employment again, they will name a diocese after him, never mind a Church!
