02:17 PM ET 01.03 | The Chicago Bears have officially requested an interview with Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. Arians filled in as the interim head coach of the Colts after head coach Chuck Pagano was diagnosed with leukemia, and guided the team to an impressive 10-5 record. Pagano returned to his duties as head coach for the last game of the regular season. There's no timetable for when Arians will interview with the Bears, but it would have to be after the Colts' season ends. Indianapolis faces the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Arians reportedly missed practice on Thursday after coming down with the flu, which apparently is spreading around the Colts team. He is not expected to miss the game on Sunday.

There should be a moratorium on interviewing coaches until the playoffs are over.

He would be an outstanding choice, but is the management in Chicago smart enough to make him a big time offer? I don't think so!

Same with college. How many coordinators are coaching in bowl games because the HC took another job? Wisconsin, Northern Illinois... This is just wrong.

You just know the Colts will pay Arians not to leave .....like the Cowboys did with Garrett when he was OC under HC Wade Phillips!!!

More like interim coach of the year.

You have GOT to be kidding. We won ten games, ATL won thirteen games! Is there some hidden genius within this man that will allow him to fix Cutler and get us the needed wins over Green Bay and the Vikings? I'm Just Saying...

Agreed.

Not bad for a guy that Tomlin and the Rooneys tried to put out to pasture not too long ago. Good thing that Haley fixed all our problems on offense, at least.
