LSU losing top defender

Not much of a surprise. The kid had a damn good year.

Starting to re-think my ND vs 'Bama "blow out" double digit victory prediction for 'Bama.

Florida loses to Louisville (not close / and Gators look like butt-holes doing it BTW)
LSU loses to Clemson (Clemson underrated?)
Miss St loses to NW
South Carolina needs last second pass to beat 4th best Big Ten team (Michigan)
Georgia struggles with Nebraska (who lost by 40 to 5-loss Wisconsin)

ND just may be our next national champions folks.

SEC just may be over-rated? We'll see how A&M vs. over-rated OU plays and how 'Bama plays on Monday.

Will the SEC actually have a losing record in bowl games this year????

It is exactly for the reasons that you mentioned that I thought the betting line might begin to shrink from the 10 pt margin, but that has not happened.

I think the bellwether game is OU/TAM. An OU beatdown (and by that I mean a convincing victory) should augur an ND victory. The best thing Bama has going for it is Lucifer on the sideline. Has he ever been out-coached?

Thx Yoop. Usually we go with Satan substituting the "b" with a "t". I would love to take credit but some of the SEC regulars coined it.

I'm no expert on this, but I believe (according to TinMan's gospel), that the proper term is "Lucifer's Vessel".

I kind of half ass disagree. LSU lead Clemson by 11 points with 5 minutes left in the game and still lost. IMO their defense sold out!!!

Probably, a few games come to mind, the 2007 Louisiana Monroe game, the 2009 (Sugar Bowl) Utah game and the 2011 LSU regular season game!!

What about Purdue losing by 44 to Ok State, and they played ND to 20-17.

What about USC losing to a team with a losing record and they took ND down to the wire....

It didn't grow after ND opponents kept losing badly.

I'm just asking because somehow one of our opponents losing badly should make the line move. And one of theirs loses badly, shouldn't it move also? What about USC losing 6? Should that have anything to do with it?

No USC losing 6 has nothing to do with it, all that tells us is that USC wasn't all that good this year. IMO the point spread at game time wil lbe in the 8/9 point spead area, with Bama favorited.
