Bettman keeping owners in the dark

Maybe most of the owners actually have functioning businesses to run, ones that actually do something and conduct commercial activity and generate revenue, and don't care what Snow White and her braindead dwarf are doing.

No doubt the majority of Owners are mushrooms now (ie: kept in the dark and fed BS).

Bettman should have the unilateral authority to cancel yet another season, if so, his head should roll when the BOG's meet again... he's costing them money, every ticking second is lost revenue.

One thing seems clear here as we get to the wire. Bettman and his legal counsel, Bob Batterman from Proskauer Rose, are calling the shots and only a handful of owners are getting updates.

I like the fact that they put Dolan's picture up for a piece about "owners in the dark.
As a NYR fan, I can tel you this is stunningly....and sadly...accurate

The Dolan photo does seem appropriate. I'm sure that a lot of the owners feel the way he looks.

If Bettman's hidden agenda is to kill the league entirely so that a few owners can get a huge write off, he's doing a really good job!

Thing is, the owners will still be the owners when this is over and they'll find other ways to make up for the money they're losing. But, the poor chets who follow the prophet to the bitter end of this self imposed 'doomsday' scenario in a misguided attempt to teach the owners a lesson will never recover what they've already lost, never mind what they stand to lose if the season is cancelled.

The NHLPA and their leader remind me of David Koresh and Branch Davidians, who chose to go up in flames rather than give in. Dumb!

I guess when you follow the Potentate of Stupidity, your philosophy would have to be "In for a penny, in for a pound", but you are right in this scenario... but I don't pity them one moment for it.
