Erick Silva aiming for March UFC return

10:56 AM ET 01.04 | Rising UFC welterweight Erick Silva was scheduled to face Jay Hieron at UFC 156 on Feb. 2 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. However, a leg infection and elbow injury forced him to withdraw from the bout. "I am in great pain when training," Silva said. "Doctors instructed me to train lighter, and as there are only four weeks to the fight on Feb. 2, I knew I would not be 100 percent until the day of the fight." As for the timing of his estimated return, the Brazilian believes March is doable. "Joe told me that I could come back at an event in March," Silva said.
