05:29 PM ET 01.04 | Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael, Jr. is currently interviewing for the open Chicago Bears head coaching position, according to both Pro Football Talk and the Times-Picayune. After Black Monday created quite a few coaching vacancies across the NFL, we knew it wouldn't be long before other teams started showing interest toward a few of the brilliant offensive minds behind the Saints offense. Unfortunately, that nerve-wracking process has already started.

I'd say proven... but I was under the impression that everyone already knew this (everyone other than the Bears)

You could claim that their offense still racked up yards... but IMO that's primarily because their defense was horrific.

IMO it's because they still had Drew Brees.
