07:04 PM ET 01.04 | So here is some good news for Dallas Mavericks. Per a tweet from ESPN Dallas's Tim MacMahon, Dirk Nowitzki is practicing with the starters for the first time this season, and a piece yesterday from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram was titled "Nowitzki has good shot at returning" with the implication being a return to the starting line-up. Nowitzki already made his season debut about six games ago, but it just doesn't feel the same with Nowitzki as a reserve for the Mavs. Rick Carlisle, as MacMahon said in the tweet, "were noncommital" as to whether or not Nowitzki would be able to start for the Mavericks in Saturday's game against the New Orleans Hornets. That has been the apparent target date for Nowitzki's return to the starting line-up, but that's mostly speculation due to Carlisle's usual secrecy on the matter (he rarely divulges key, competitive information like this, and for good reason).

Time to get busy... and I still dislike the Spurs more than I do the Lakers.

clippers are a better team than the lakers and they had beat them twice this season,, but lets give the lakes a light call, the team don't have a serious coach in the front seat and that explain everything,,,,

True, but I don't think practice can fix the things they lack the most on D. Youth, speed, athleticism.
(D12 is highly athletic but still not at 100% and he cant do it all on D for them. Kobe's being forced to guard younger, and more athletic guards that at this stage in hes career he shouldnt be and getting caught out.)
Practice would help, but at the moment all the negatives of assembling this roster, rather than the potential positives seem to be in play.
