Bob Stoops: Johnny Manziel best quarterback I've faced

High praise. He's pretty special.

Good question TM...I'm wondering if the "stereotypical" NFL mentality will remain. If so, Johnny Football may be at aTm for three more years. Supposedly, he doesn't have the arm...ala Kellen Moore.

He's a great college QB even if he never plays a down in the NFL.

He appeared to be very accurate last night...IMO

I don't know what happened to OU's defensive backs in defending the pass. They couldn't contain JF's running but they've played better passers than JF many times this year and stayed with receivers much better than they did last night.

I don't think they could've stopped JF's ad libbing when things break down. I thought their pass defense and overall offense stunk though. aTm's passing game and defense isn't as good as OU made it look.

Still think aTm would have won on Johnny's legs but it would have been closer. Wish I'd have picked 'em.

It will either be the CFL or Arena football for Johnny. His style doesn't translate into the NFL. He wouldn't last.

IMO...and I admit that I'm a homer....but I think the DB's were worried about the running of JF, plus the Oline gave him plenty of time to pick and choose. Hard to cover a WR for 10 seconds...

Didn't you say that same thing about RGIII and Cam Newton?

I tried to tell you people he was good, but no, we had OT and others calling Texas A&M the most overrated team in CFB.

JK, I was wrong and you are/were right!!! I'm admitting it right here in front of you and FN!!!! I'm not really "totally" convinced that Texas A&M is a top 5 team, as I'm not too sure of the Sooners defense this year, but I have to agree with you that A&M is not "overrated"!!!

Sooners ranked 45 in Total Defense and 26 in Passing Defense.

TAMU is just that good right now...don't dis them by saying that the D was bad....it wasn't, they were that good

I'm not "Dissing" A&M's defense, I was only questioning the Sooners defense this year!!

If OU had been in as many BCS games as TU, the records would be close...first 4 games for OU were 2-2 (of those 3 were for the NC) while TU is 3-1 (of those 2 were for the NC).

Just that OU has been in 8 BCS games...Texas hasn't. :)

I agree. I was going to mention VY and McCoy, but I thought Stoops had long term memory loss. Hell he has only faced Manziel one time and now he makes a statement like this!!!! He would have been better off by just saying, "Manziel is a hell of a player and a QB"!!!
