05:34 PM ET 01.05 | Syracuse head coach Doug Marrone could be headed to the NFL. Marrone has already interviewed with the Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns, and is also expected to meet with the San Diego Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles. Marrone has been head coach for the Orange for four seasons, over which time he compiled a 25-25 record. In 2012, Marrone's squad was 8-5, and earned a decisive 38-14 victory over West Virginia in the Pinstripe Bowl.

So, a career 25-25 record gets you a promotion? Sheesh!

I think he is the best "new "choice out there. If you are not going to sign a Lovie type experienced guy, then Marrone has the background to do the job. He was the OC with the Saints, then turned an awful program around and developed QB Ryan Nassib to the level that he will be one of the first two QBs taken in this draft.

Depends on where you start from and what you do from there.
