07:57 AM ET 01.07 | Yes, the season is over in Indy, but the future beckons. This is about a rookie-laden team that has accomplished something most of us didn't think was possible until three years down the line. Here's what I found when we talked to team owner Jim Irsay and [Chuck Pagano] and players in the locker room: I found a team that was wounded and hurt and disappointed, but hardly crestfallen. I found a team that was enormously proud of what it accomplished this past year, a team that can't wait to see how good they can be with another couple of draft classes, a few free agents and some experience. ... "It's been an incredible, incredible year," Irsay said as he stood outside the team's locker room. "In 40 years, I haven't seen one like it. I really haven't."

No one would have anticipated that the woeful Colts of 2011 would emerge as a playoff team in 2012. Yeah, they did have a great season.

Now, let's see if they can avoid the sophomore slump.

Yes, suppose they re-wrote history so that the Treaty of Westphalia was signed in 1652 instead of 1648. The Thirty Years War would have been the Thirty-four Years War.

You can go to the history dept. of any public school or liberal arts college in this country and learn some re-written history any time you want.

Sorry dude...the Skins are not just getting started.

They have a gimmick offense that will not sustain long term in the NFL. One of two things WILL happen...

Either RGIII gets hurt (already did) or NFL Defenses will figure it out and slow it down.

The Colts are the better team...they are hitting on all kinds of different rookies right now...the jury is still out on RGIII, his knee and if he can run a pro style offense. He has tons of talent, so we will see.

Amen. Stanford, with the success of Andrew Luck will now be revising its history books to explain how the US "stole" Calif. from the beneficient Mexican govt.
