07:58 AM ET 01.07 | Thanks to Sunday's 24-14 win over Washington in Landover, the Seattle Seahawks are moving on, though they may be doing so without Chris Clemons. [Clemons], an elite pass rusher and key member of the Seattle defense, likely tore his ACL Sunday, according to a source with knowledge of the situation and the team fears as much. Clemons caught his foot in the shoddy field at FedEx Field and will undergo an MRI Monday morning back in Seattle to determine the severity but the team is not planning on having him for the duration of the postseason. He has the telltale signs of an ACL tear -- looseness in the joint and swelling, with no pain. Seattle plays at Atlanta next week.

And if we had an 18-game season, we wouldn't even be watching playoffs yet.
The Superbowl winner this year could be the team with the fewest guys limping or watching from the hospital.

Goodell plans on adding two more teams to the playoff format... Either way, he's getting his extra 2 games.

Good point, the Hawks' defense held the Skins to 219 total yards and I swear 100 of those yards came in the 1st quarter!!!

Exactly. Not only is his potential greater than Clemons', he seems to be able to crank it up when it's needed. That'd be now. Quite a drag to lose Clemons, but I don't think it stops the Hawks' march. Playing as a team the way they did in the first quarter yesterday will be what stops the Hawks' march, if anything does.

+1. That field is a disgrace and has been for years. With the RGIII injury maybe Snyder will finally pay to get an NFL quality field in there.

Carroll has done well in adding depth at most positions. Irvin contributed a sack and a tipped pass after replacing Clemons. Although Clemons will be missed, Irvin is a most viable replacement.
