02:55 PM ET 01.07 | Seattle Seahawks head coach Peter Carroll told KIRO-AM in Seattle that field conditions at FedEx Field for Sunday's Wild Card Round game against theWashington Redskins were "horrible." The Seahawks won the game, 24-14, but the team lost defensive end Chris Clemons to a knee injury early in the third quarter. Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III also suffered an injury and had to leave the game. "The field was horrible," Carroll said. "As bad as a field can get. We deserve better."

Was it the bad field or fake crowd noise that he didn't like?

Carroll said. "As bad as a field can get. We deserve better."

Yeah... its sad. Just like the players and fans of USC who "deserve better" than what they are getting with their sanctions.

Peter Carroll? When was the last time anyone called him Peter?

I thought Heinz Field had the worst turf....and just why do you deserve better?

January 7, 2013  05:22 PM ET

Both Teams played under the same lousy conditions, what would you have said if you lost?

January 7, 2013  05:28 PM ET

The condition of FedEx Field sure didn't help RG3 any!!!!!

What in the hell does the playing condition of FedEx Field, have "anything " to do with the fans and players and the sanctions they received at USC????????????????????????????

He meant the royal "we", as in the two guys who blew out knees and the half dozen receivers who fell on their ass making the simplest of route cuts. He's absolutely right. Playing for careers, millions of dollars, and 500 bucks a seat, everyone in the house deserved better playing conditions.

Well, they *could* get artificial turf, but remember Eric Dickerson?

If you have ever stepped foot on some new fangled artificial " Field Turf" you know that they are outstanding playing surfaces. There doesn't seem to be any complaints about the stuff.

That being said there is no excuse for the D.C. grounds crew not being able to present a solid field at this point in a mild winter.
