06:40 PM ET 01.07 | Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo has been suspended one game for bumping an official during the Celtics' win over the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night. Rondo was not called for a technical on the play, but the league nevertheless seems serious in their efforts to crack down on Rondo's past behavior. He will miss Monday's game against the New York Knicks.

Rondo is a solid player with a ton of talent but is starting to get a reputation as a dirty player. He's come out publicly and said he is not a dirty player. The fact that he feels he has to defend himself tells me he knows his reputation is being tarnished. Yet another incident has happened. The fact of the matter is once you establish a bad reputation you can't shake it. It's like glue. It will affect the way refs judge him going forward.
