Rob Parker: ESPN knew about "cornball" statement

He shouldn't have been suspended. He should have been fired.

As would most commentators had they made the same exact statement.

He should know better than that!!!

Sure... wait until the suspension ends to throw your employer under the bus. I realize he was probably only answering a question, but he ought to consider just keeping quiet about the the issue from this point on.

parker never seemed like the brightest bulb anyhow....

Gotta say though, WOW can RG3 play!

This east coast bias really screws us out West of watching some really good players....his Monday Nighter didn't do much to impress me and I was with family for Thanksgiving.
Even hampered by that injury, he's very fun to watch and I hope he heals quickly, and correctly.
Having had one of those surgeries myself I can't imagine what a competitor like RG3 is gonna do with his free time....probably republican stuff eh robbie?!

Yup, they even let the segment re-air without cutting the comments. This is what they want from their "talent."

Well, if the first comments did not get him fired, then throwing your boss under the bus is not the way to try and keep ones job. Calling him a moron would be insulting morons. Parker is everything wrong with the "press" these days, no integrity, no honor, just out to be shocking and edgey. Too bad we as a society encourage it.

Bleh. He's lucky he wasn't a white reporter. Not only would he have been fired but he would have had to have a sit down meeting with Al Sharpton, speak in front of a black church, and publicly apologize to the NAACP.

I wish all these white, black and whatever agitators would just go away and let the rest of us live in harmony....
