07:47 AM ET 01.08 | Adrian Peterson isn't much for resting this time of year -- even if it's the offseason. No, Peterson is not willing to rest beyond a few days, if that. Heck, the guy even spent part of Monday morning promising to do the unthinkable -- play hard in the Pro Bowl -- and the illogical -- use the Pro Bowl's $50,000 winner's check as motivation for a guy with a $96 million contract. "It's a bonus," he said. "Guys look at that and say, 'We get this win, we get 50 more racks so we can give it to our mom, our dad, our family or go buy a car.' There's a lot you can do with 50." People have called him "All Day" since he was a child. Heading into what sounds like an immediate sweat-stained offseason, perhaps it's time to call him, "All Day, Every Day."

Oh man...

January 8, 2013  08:01 AM ET

Get the hell out of the way or somebody will get hurt.

January 8, 2013  08:06 AM ET

Winning the Pro Bowl shouldn't be hard. He'll be the only one there actually playing.

January 8, 2013  08:06 AM ET

There is a lot you can do with 50. Lots of families live all year on less.

January 8, 2013  08:07 AM ET

I would sit out Pro Bowl< but I'm not Him!!!!

January 8, 2013  08:09 AM ET

It's the same kind of fire that allowed him to come back from his injury early and have a stellar season. He could go untouched on every carry.

January 8, 2013  08:16 AM ET

I can't imagine anyone trying very hard to stop him.

But man, have you ever had fresh pineapple on Hawaii?

Nobody seemed very eager to tackle him when the games actually counted. They'll be actively dodging him in the Pro Bowl.

$25 to 50 K for the pro bowl, trip to Hawaii, not bad... If he's bored in the off season he can help rehab players with knee injuries, like Griffin, Heath Miller, etc. Make some serious cash sharing his secrets of how to return to the game so fast...

They could call it the Dodge Bowl.

Yep, and have a built-in sponsor. AD is Ram Tough.

January 8, 2013  08:52 AM ET

A.P. is the only man I have ever seen, who considers the regular season "rehab".

Based on his attitude when we played earlier this season, I think he's still a little mad at us for the injury....

January 8, 2013  09:07 AM ET

He's looking forward to playing with real QB's.

January 8, 2013  09:22 AM ET

Risk $96M for $50K? And the game doesn't count? If I owned the team I wouldn't allow my players to play in the Pro-Bowl (does anyone actually watch that game?)

January 8, 2013  09:23 AM ET

Who is AP? I could have sworn his nickname is AD! Come on interns...smh

January 8, 2013  09:30 AM ET

And when he's finished with the Pro Bowl, he's going to win Dancing with the Stars.

January 8, 2013  09:48 AM ET

A.P. should just take it easy... rest dem legs for next season.... He's pushing it a little too much, last thing the Vikings need is him tearing or blowing his knee on a cut in a meaningless game..

And American Idol.

Then he'll clean up on Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy.
