08:05 AM ET 01.08 | Maxim Lapierre, who took just five minor penalties over his final 18 regular-season games, is turning over a new leaf. "I've been doing a lot of thinking," [Lapierre] said Monday following an informal skate at UBC. "It's going to be a physical game when we get back and I don't think I'm going to talk as much on the ice. I even think I'm not even going to talk at all." ... That's probably going to be easier said than done for the Vancouver Canucks forward. As much as Lapierre got rave reviews for showing his versatility in playing on all four lines last NHL season -- and playing both centre and wing -- his penchant for punch-ups and getting under the skin of the opposition ran from inspirational to irritating.

...ummm...penchant for irritating people, yes, penchant for punch-ups, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. I like the guy, but I've always felt that he has to be more willing to drop em if he insists on running his mouth.

During a face-off will he drop his stick and hug someone? Hopefully all this "be nice" crap will stop at about 0:04 of the first period.

Funny I always thought the other way about him.. That's why he's running his mouth to keep from fighting.

Seeing as pretty much every player on the team is a diver (according to Bieksa even)...they won't have any issues.
