11:47 AM ET 01.08 | Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon hopes to avoid surgery on his injured toe this offseason, according to the Washington Post. Garcon wants to do "everything possible to avoid surgery" to repair the torn ligament in the second toe of his right foot. Garcon injured his toe in the season-opener against the New Orleans Saints, when he scored a touchdown on an 88-yard reception. It was an explosive, but disappointing beginning to his season, after signing a five-year, $42.5 million deal with $20.5 million guaranteed in the offseason.

Get the surgery. It's not like RG-III will be out there in September wishing he had you to throw to. In the long run, you'll be a better asset to the team with the ligament fixed.

Good news Pierre, Coach Shanny made sure you have an early start to the off-season.

Yep...

Surgery is quicker and cleaner - get it done now and be ready for OTA's.

Just cut the toe off with a pair of yard shears, its not like you need it.

While you're at it, bring back the gold helmet with the red "R."

I really hope Garcon comes back fully healthy and ready to play. They aren't the same team without him.
