11:51 AM ET 01.08 | Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is set to have surgery on his broken left index finger on Tuesday, according to Dez Bryant himself on Twitter. Bryant Tweeted on Monday night about the surgery. The injury was suffered in Week 14 against the Cincinnati Bengals, a game that the Cowboys won, 20-19. Bryant didn't miss significant time due to the injury, as the Cowboys were locked in a playoff battle. Unfortunately for Bryant, the Cowboys couldn't overcome Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins and missed the playoffs following a Week 17 loss.

We knew about this weeks ago, right? When the story was it was up to Dez whether he played like a man or had season-ending surgery like a girl.

But looking at that picture, his finger must really hurt if they need to hold him up on both sides.

This was known when he first injured it, that he would need surgery, either soon after and miss the rest of the season or wait till the season was over. this is as newsworthy as darkness follows daylight.

I'm still worried about Dez Bryant.

Don't worry, the finger story is just a smoke screen. They're really going to do a brain transplant. Somebody named Abby Normal.

He was a warrior those last few weeks. But he got owned by DeAngelo Hall in week 17 (special assist to Tony Romo).

He did get owned for sure...the assist doesn't go to Tony...it goes to Jim Haslett for out coaching Jason Garrett.

Garrett dials up more slants and screens and max protection, and Tony beats Hall hands down.

Dez had a great season though...really turned it around after the early mistakes by working with Romo. Their passing attack is sick...if they can add some blockers, and improve the run game, they will be tough to stop.
