04:21 PM ET 01.08 | Four-star defensive end prospect Kylie Fitts has decommited from the USC Trojans, according to his Twitter account. Fitts is the third major decommitment for USC in the past several weeks, following in the wake of five-star defensive tackle Eddie Vanderdoes and four-star wide receiver Sebastian LaRue. According to one account (Fitts' high school coach), it's due to USC's management: Redlands East Valley Coach Kurt Bruich said on Tuesday that Fitts is no longer headed to USC after the Trojans told him on Monday they no longer had a spot for him to enroll early and wanted him to wait until June. "The trust has been lost," Bruich said. "He did everything they asked of him."

mismanagement leading to loss of trust?

This is very true, but pretty hard to management recruits, if you don't have a spot for them!

This one wasn't. When McQuay committed, we needed him to come in early to ensure keeping him. We are at 75 with our early guys coming in. He can still enroll in the fall and I hope he does.

How hard is it to wait until June.. just a few more months.. I know you think you are great and shouldnt have to wait.. But getting a OOS kid to EE is more important to the program unless you the QB

Just speculating here, but maybe he's afraid USC won't have a spot in the Fall. Doesn't want to grey shirt.

From what I have read...I think it is more that LK and O told the kid one thing, then reneged and changed the story....would make the kid a little nervous given the other things that have gone on and the implosion this year....

I hope he does too, and I think he will. He is still very much wanted by Lane and the entire staff. Hopefully he understands that. Hopefully when the emotions have time to cool down a little, he realizes SC is still the best place for him.

Sounded like...he said he was really upset and wanted to play there.

Thinking someone might want to look at the football program...sure are a lot decommitting...at least seems that way

It only seems that way because of the size of the class, and the fact that nobody was less than a 4*. I figured we would lose between 3-5 of our original commits. Fitts is currently the 5th. 2 of the guys who decommitted (Massington and LaRue) were always soft commits, so I don't think those really hurt. If we can get Fitts and Vanderdoes back, we still have 2 more spots. I am hearing we may pull a stunner. Our class will still be at worst Top 3. Being on reduction, I am more than ok with that kinda talent coming in.

I actually see his angle. The SC staff asked him to graduate early, so he could enroll early. He did that, now they tell him he has to wait. But like I said, hopefully he realizes he is still very much wanted and signs on LOI day.

Lane and his staff are the REASON that U$C will continue to slide. That program deserves MUCH better than to have a clown like Kiffin running the show. Give him a few more years, and he'll drive that proud program straight into the dirt. Time for U$C to cut their losses and admit they made a HUGE mistake in hiring an ignorant child to be their head coach.

He is not getting years to prove himself EWO. If we look bad again next year, he will be gone. With the talent he keeps bringing in, .500 won't cut it.

This is a joke. Its not really an issue of scholarship. Its an issue of timing of enrollment. USC never pulled his scholarship. They just told him to enroll in June....

The kid can't wait 5 months....then he gets a full scholarship?
