07:25 PM ET 01.08 | What looked like the usual jawing between Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett, even as 'Melo sprinted to the Celtics tunnel, no one thought it would continue to boil over well after the game ended. But whatever Garnett did to get inside 'Melo's head stayed there and according to reports, Anthony shouted outside the Celtics locker room and waited for Garnett outside the Celtics team bus, schoolyard bully style. But while this in itself is outrageous, it didn't end there. Multiple reports, from the New York Daily News to ESPN, indicated that Anthony went from the Celtics locker room to the Celtics team bus to wait for Garnett. It was at this point that the NYPD was called in to "defuse" the situation.

KG has always walked a thin line and hss been a trssh talker his whole career that is not going to change it makes him who he is and he gets plsyers rsttled. Melo has to have thicker skin . Besudes that it may have been worse if Rondo was playing thrre surely would've been a brawl

Is Carmelo not smart enough to see that getting inside his head was exactly what KG was trying to do? Anthony played right into his hand.

KG is want to be tough guy in the NBA. The only time he picks a fight and stays with it, is if the person is 1/2 his size. Melo ain't known as a tough guy, but where's Garnet when he's ready to throw down. You are and have always been a joke KG - stick to punching the pad underneath the basket, as you know it won't hit back.

KG rarely fights back when he sees his opponent will. not even the size factor is the question, but he tests the boundaries and tries to punk players and if he sees they will fight back, he backs off that tactic. Remember DWade is no where KG's size but when DWade leveled him with his shoulder for his illegal screen on Mike Miller, who had just come back from injury, KG quickly went to the ref as Wade tossed the ball over to the ref, letting KG know his foul was intentional and then walked toward KG. As stated, KG walked to ref. I don't hate KG for being KG. Test it. If you can get away with it, go for it.
