06:08 PM ET 01.09 | In their latest attempt to unearth one of Europe's emerging gems, the San Antonio Spurs have reportedly agreed to sign Australian big man Aron Baynes to a multi-year contract. The deal, which includes a buyout for Baynes' Slovenian team, Olimpija Ljubljana, gives San Antonio an intriguing young post player at a highly reasonable price. "Baynes, a former teammate of Danny Green, is a big, physical center who could provide a nice complement to the Spurs' current bigs in the future. He's regarded as one of the best big men in Europe and a very good rebounder, though he's also looked at as a 'project' with a limited skill-set, says Jonathan Givony of Draft Express,' Pounding the Rock notes of the Spurs' new signing.
