08:57 PM ET 01.09 | If there's any light at the end of the tunnel that is the Washington Wizards' abysmal season, look no further than the return of 2010's No. 1 overall draft pick, John Wall. The second-year point guard has sat out through his team's 5-28 start, but his return is likely to come soon. How soon depends on when Wall's conditioning is where it needs to be. He returned to practice last week, and head coach Randy Wittman said he won't rush the franchise cornerstone back too quickly. "John's hit the floor 100 times," Wittman told the Washington Post of Wall's practice performances. "He knows how to hit the floor. I want him playing that way. That's who he is. So does it scare me? No. Actually, I like seeing that, that he's not tentative, not thinking about going to the basket and getting hit."

This might help the Wizards get to about 10 wins...
