Nowitzki's choice for NBA's 'best leader'

07:51 AM ET 01.10 | The Clippers didn't make it look easy, but did manage Wednesday to pull out a 99-93 win over Dallas in a matchup of teams headed in opposite directions. Dallas did a nice job over the summer of assembling a roster of quality, reasonably-priced players on short contracts, but right now they look more like a set of mismatched parts than a collection of savvy vets. The Clippers stocked up on similarly experienced players, and the formula is working. "They've got the best leader to me right now in the league," Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki said. "Chris Paul can turn it up anytime he wants. He can take games over. They're physical. They've got shooters. ... They've got all the tools, all the weapons a good team needs to have."

They've got all the tools, all the weapons a good team needs to have." Umm..NO. There is no way on planet Earth that the clippers, with Blake Griffin, will EVER win a championship. Chris Paul is amazing; he is the best, most effective point guard in NBA right now. Griffin is a side-show, all-hat-no-cattle, hi-light reel only, terrible passer, horrible shooter, flopper. With someone like Griffin, they will be hi-light material, but unfortunately for a great player like Paul, they can't win in springtime. #GriffinSucksJustLikeFloppingDwayneWadeAndFloppingLebronJames

Our season has been like last night. Every game has been like last night. They play good for 3 1/2 qtrs and then let slip away. CP3 should be MVP this year if they keep up the pace. 60+ wins this year.

Wow, talking about the Mavs or a change. Good job Cuban.

Really? Hehehe! What's the article about? Time to get rid of your scapegoats. Trade them now since you don't need them. Kobe plays better w/ real scrubs and is actually sharing and trusting them more. He'll get that scoring title easily this year. Don't worry about that Gugy.

it's about time bro. The only thing you say lately here is Kobe, Kobe and Kobe. lol
That's great for a change.
