08:04 AM ET 01.10 | Should things pan out, the beginning of a new Bourque era may take place in Beantown. Six players from the Providence Bruins have been invited to attend training camp with the Boston Bruins, according to coach Bruce "Butch" Cassidy. The players are forwards Chris Bourque, Ryan Spooner, Lane MacDermid and Jamie Tardif and defensemen Matt Bartkowski and David Warsofsky. Boston's camp could start as soon as this weekend, but no firm date has been set. To fill in for the missing players, Providence recalled two forwards and a defenseman from the East Coast Hockey League. The defenseman is North Kingstown's Eric Baier. ... The forwards are Justin Courtnall and Tyler McNeely of Boston's ECHL affiliate in South Carolina.
