05:41 PM ET 01.10 | The Sacramento Kings' sale to the Seattle ownership group has hit a snag. While discussions are reportedly ongoing, and have been for about a week, there have been troubles in determining the role of the Kings' current owners. That would be the Maloof family. The members have apparently not decided whether they would be willing to cede full control of the franchise to the new ownership group led by Chris Hansen, according to The Seattle Times. While all reports indicate the Maloofs wanted to remain as minority owners after a sale, The Seattle Times reports that they still want decision-making abilities, at least to some degree. At this point, a source told the paper that the deal "goes beyond dollars and cents and stressed how important being involved in the NBA has been to the family."
