Rivers: KG didn't cross the line

06:18 PM ET 01.10 | Carmelo Anthony was suspended a game for going after Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett following the New York Knicks' 102-96 loss on Monday. Afterward, everyone wanted to know why Anthony was so heated. Reports surfaced that Garnett had crossed the line in his trash-talk. Namely, Garnett had reportedly involved Anthony's wife in the banter. Well, Boston head coach Doc Rivers is the first to say that wasn't the case. He defended Garnett, adding that the forward knows the line and never crosses it. Rivers seemed perturbed that the incident had been made into Kevin Garnett issue instead of the focus being on Anthony's antics. "It's pretty crude, I can tell you," Rivers told Boston sports radio's WEEI of NBA trash talk. "Out there at times, you hear some crazy stuff. But when it gets racial or personal to family, then that crosses the line. But I'm going to say it again: In this case, that didn't happen."

Lord this just won't end.......there is NOTHING that can be said that is 'over the line'as long as it doesn't come to fist-a-cuffs....just MAN UP AND PLAY THE DAMN GAMEget some earmuffs and move on

Exactly!

Is KG crude...immature...low-class?

Maybe.

Who cares!!!!!!!

You don't throw away your brain and go nuts, especially if you are trying to lead a damn team to a deep playoff run.
...not to mention the fact that every team in the league will now know how to get melo off his game, which means beating NY.

QUOTE(#5):

Doc really has no credibility. He will never side against KG or his players on something like this.

No offence MMA, but that's a silly thing to expect; the head coach of the team is going to throw his star player under the buss publicly?

Does that make sense?

QUOTE(#8):

Maybe you meant your comment for somebody else since I didn't suggest what you are saying.I am saying that Doc's opinion is not unbiased and he's not a credible voice as he is not unbiased. He may feel differently but he won't say so or feels compelled to support KG as his star player. It's like asking a defense lawyer for an unbiased opinion of a case.To me there is nothing silly about that assessment.

You know the funny thing is, it can be seen two ways...well at least to some one nutty like me.

When you said he has no credibility, I took it to mean he has no more BECAUSE he sided with KG.

My bad...I won't be stalking you outside your team bus, so no worries.

KG is classless and will always be classless.
Melo showing emotion doesn't help one bit.
Before Z-Bo calmed down you know he would have put KG on his ass.
