06:55 PM ET 01.10 | The Jacksonville Jaguars have requested permission to interview Rams offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer for their vacant head coaching position, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Schottenheimer came to the Rams in 2012 after spending 2006-11 as the OC for the New York Jets. The son of long-time NFL head coach Marty Schottenheimer has spent time as a coach in the NFL since 2001, with additional stops in Washington and San Diego. Jacksonville is moving quickly after firing head coach Mike Mularkey on Thursday. Mularkey spent just one season at the helm of the Jaguars, winning just two games. He has a career 16-32 record as an NFL head coach.
