09:11 PM ET 01.10 | The Minnesota Vikings aren't in the playoffs any longer but they're still very much in the NFL spotlight, thanks to what many are interpreting as an ongoing problem with wide receiver Percy Harvin. The former Rookie of the Year made a big deal about being placed on injured reserve before the Vikings' final games of the season, which now has many calling into doubt his future in Minnesota. Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder went on the Paul Allen Show earlier this week on KFAN in Minneapolis and gave cryptic comments about Harvin's future. Vikings general manager Rick Spielman has come out and said that people are indeed reading too far into Ponder's slip of the tongue and that Harvin is not an issue in Minnesota.

Sounds like the dreaded vote of confidence to me.

He's not an issue because he has no future in Vikingland.

Like when Jerry assured TO that everything was fine?

The Vikes must think AD can have this kind of season every year. Harvin is the only other legit threat on the team.

Harvin will have his best season Next Year!!!!!

Though Harvin is an awesome talent he is a BIG Diva! How did the Randy Moss situation work out for the Vikings? As much as I like Harvin I see the same ending for him as Moss.

QUOTE(#6):

Really? How'd the Vikings do after Harvin was put on IR? 5-1And while Ponder didn't put up gaudy numbers, he did improve without having to worry about getting Harvin the ball.

They were 5-1 because AD was playing out of his mind. Like I said, they must think he can play like that every season. He can't.

Ponder better consider his own future as a Viking....I don't think it's too bight.

The Vikings will be in the Playoffs again next year, they are improving each year, it's about Time!

The Vikings were 5-3 without injured pronge Harvin, he has one left on his contract and I can see him leaving Minnesota in a trade before the draft.
