Why Cousins is so hard to trade

07:55 AM ET 01.11 | Where the Kings go from here is up in the air somewhat, but it's likely that, for now, DeMarcus Cousins will go with them. [Executives around the league are] pretty much unanimous that Cousins, despite his three suspensions just this season and occasionally toxic personality, is off-limits right now, barring a blow-your-mind offer that isn't coming -- and can't really come, anyway, since Cousins makes only $3.88 million this season. Teams over the cap wishing to take in Cousins's salary would have to send out a similar amount, and a salary at that level on its own will not bring a fair talent return for Sacramento. ... The issue is moot, anyway, if the Kings are determined to keep Cousins, and everyone agrees they are -- for now.

Jonas Jerebko is making 4.5 million sitting on the Pistons bench. It seems Detroit could include him and his salary in a trade. Jerebko is not Cousins but package him with a couple of picks and some other cap friendly contracts

QUOTE(#5):

Why not trade Monroe or the other rookie instead since the Pistons have so much 4/5s position and some picks?

They aren't kidding, it's not easy to find equal talent at that salary...

And I think everyone is thinking that Cousin's attitude problem will melt away with a change of scenery so the whole "Bad Attitude Discount" doesn't appear to be as much as it should be.

QUOTE(#7):

you're telling me that a team like say NO wouldn't give them back some picks and say the unibrow for cousins?or any other 'bad team' that will have some decent picks + some young kid for cousins>?also remember- they don't have to match exactly, especially if the team is under the capcousins has a chance to be real good- but he's not a superstar or anything+ he has emotional issues/baggage

Do you know what you're talking about? You said I was way off when I wanted Cousins to come to Boston but you don't make any sense at all.

Jerebko could benefit from a change of scenery. You never have too many big men.
