07:58 AM ET 01.11 | Former No. 1 overall pick Greg Oden may yet return to the NBA. The agent for [Oden] said Thursday he's "100 percent" certain his often-injured client will be back playing in the NBA next season. But he said rumors of Oden ending up with the Miami Heat this season in order to rehab are "extreme." With Miami playing at Portland on Thursday, there has been speculation the Heat, who can open up a roster spot, could soon sign [Oden]. He then would be under the care of their doctors while preparing to play for next season. Mike Conley, the agent for Oden, said in a phone interview with FOX Sports Florida it is an option Oden could sign with an NBA team this season for rehab purposes. But he said he has heard nothing from the Heat since Oden was waived.

Until tall kyrie plays SOMEWHERE- whether its the Y, Europe, china, wherever......how freakin stupid would an NBA team be to waste a roster spot on this broken dude? And I hope can make it back...but to simply piss $$$ away signing him is disgraceful

This season for sure...but, if he gets healthy, taking Miami's 15th spot makes sense....especially Miami's.

If he comes back, it will be for the Vet Minimum, with insurance....so, the Heat could gamble and if he plays to his talent level, that could be scary for a team that needs a Center like the Heat.

Chalmers, Wade, LeBron, Bosh and Oden has a nice ring to it, with Allen, Battier, Haslem, Cole off the pine.

He will never be healthy enough to contribute to an NBA team. His knees are worse than Brandon Roy's.

And Josh Harrellson. Don't forget him.

If they would sign players like that, I still can't understand what happen with my boy Jarvis Vanardo I think he could be a good fit for them. Could he have possibly been that bad?
